Jimmy DeMarco gained fame as a commentator for the now defunct Indy wrestling promotion Ring of Glory. A savvy businessman, DeMarco had amassed enough personal fortune to be able to purchase the rights to Competitive Grappling & Striking in August 2008. The promotion had been on hiatus after falling into administration but with DeMarco's financial backing, CGS managed to resign big names like Steve Storme and Dash Blade, as well as international superstars such as Kyle Evers. But now he has embarked on a new business venture with Pro Wrestling Novella. In a press conference earlier today, he outlined his plans for the federation. In an extract from the speech, DeMarco said:
Jimmy DeMarco also unveiled the staff involved in Novella:
Just before the conference ended, journalists pressed DeMarco for more details about Novella. One in particular was which wrestlers had been confirmed for the first show, rumoured to take place in late January. Jimmy's reply was as follows:
"I took a promotion deep in debt which hadn't organized a show in months and I made it successful; I made it profitable. I brought big names to CGS - from upcoming stars to wrestling legends. But I've decided to try a new project which shall be known as Pro Wrestling Novella. Our events will be every 2-3 weeks and this light schedule will mean we can attract many top wrestlers and reach new heights."
Jimmy DeMarco also unveiled the staff involved in Novella:
"But I can't do this alone and so I'd like to take this time to reveal those that will be joining me in Novella. First, our commentators will be Emmett Bishop and famous pro wrestler Kyle Deathlocke. In addition, CGS Hall of Famer Steve Storme will make infrequent appearances alongside the regular commentators. Our ring announcer is Jay Rodriguez, some of you may remember him from ROG. And finally our backstage interviewer Jordan Davis. That's the PWN staff as of now."

"Well obviously Deathlocke and Storme are tied to the company but so far, nobody else has signed a full written contract. However, I'm in negotiations with several wrestlers and I expect to see nearly all of them on the roster soon. And before you ask, I won't be revealing these wrestlers' names. Thank you, I think that’s all for now. This press conference is over."
